Like most ladies, our tolerance for pick-up lines and cat calls is pretty low. But, surprisingly, a recent strange guy come-on (“You smell good, can I have a taste?”) actually left us laughing and relishing Bvlgari’s Pour Femme Jeweler perfume ($145). It’s no secret that as an eclectic group of women, we have varying hair textures.  Not just on our heads, but also under our arms, on our legs, and even down there.  And for some of us, this generally means conventional drug store hair removal products just don’t cut it.  Enter Nair.  Yes, old school, back-in-the-day, Nair depilatory cream.  We’re certain Nair has improved its formula since its hey-dey because the Lotion for Body with Cocoa Butter (CVS,$6.49) leaves gams and bikini lines sleek and silky in about five minutes (a little longer than the three minutes promised) whether your hair is coarse, fine or somewhere in between. While it hasn’t delivered stubble-free underarms as we’d like, two out of three hair-free areas ain’t so bad.

Although we don’t prefer our men this way, we at Beauty Lush absolutely love, love, love a beauty product that’s insanely cheap and readily available.  So, when we stumbled upon Clean & Clear’s not-so-new Dual Action Moisturizer (CVS, $6.49), we were all over it. Not only does this amazingly light and unassuming oil-free moisturizer nicely hydrate the driest and ashiest skin, it also helps fight break outs vis a vie 0.5% salicylic acid.  The fresh, airy smell is a definite plus and the slight tingle when first applied feels like a mini-facial.  Need we say more?

Beauty Lush Tips:  1.) Before you begin, make sure you have a clean, small towel on-hand.  2.) Slather the lotion on your legs, arms, underarms or bikini area pre-bath or shower.  We recommend only applying it to one area at a time, unless you’re good at multi-tasking.  Otherwise, hello irritation!  3.) Ensure the entire area is completely covered with a generous coat of the lotion.  4.) Let it sit for about three minutes (use a timer or clock if you feel the need).  5.)  After the three minutes, soak your cloth in warm water, wring out the excess water, and in a gentle motion, wipe a small area.  If the hair removes easily, wipe it all off.  If not, leave the lotion on for a couple more minutes and try another test area.  Remember not to RUB the lotion off and not to keep it on longer than 10 minutes.  6.)  After the lotion is completely removed, take a nice, warm shower or bath.  7.) Oh, and feel free to touch yourself.  We won’t tell!
